About Dorchester

The beautiful village of Dorchester, situated on the Thames River, offers many opportunities for recreation for all age groups with several golf courses, tennis courts, ball diamonds, a two pad arena and a vast community park with a pool  and  splash pad. A raised walking track around the new ice pad is open every day from 7am-10pm year round, affording a great way to exercise without having to worry about the weather.

Within walking distance or a short car ride from  Anthony’s Mobile Home Park is the peaceful, tranquil Mill Pond. A walking path around the entire perimeter leads through Carolinian forest over wooden walkways and bridges and provides great opportunity for hiking, photography, bird watching, fishing and the enjoyment of nature in general.  Visitors come from miles around to enjoy the Millpond and all it has to offer.

Looking to keep busy?

Various activities for the 50+ crowd are offered at the Lions Senior Centre attached to the Community Centre and Arena Complex.  Many of our residents are actively involved in activities such as darts, pool, cards and Friday Night Dinners at the Royal Canadian Legion Donnybrook Branch just across the road from the Park.

For those who like to read, there is a wonderful library. Grocery shopping, drug stores, banking, dining out and take-out are all offered in the village.
